Paul Maurice, head coach of the Winnipeg Jets, brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to every speaking engagement, shaped by 14 seasons coaching in the NHL. Drafted in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft, Maurice’s playing career was unfortunately cut short due to an eye injury. Undeterred, he quickly transitioned into coaching, starting as an assistant with the Jr. Red Wings. His early years were marked by an exceptional ability to motivate and inspire, recognised by many as being wise beyond his years. Drafted by the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires, Maurice demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills from a young age, becoming known as one of the best at rallying groups of men around a common goal.

Paul Maurice went on to become one of the youngest head coaches in NHL history, and notably the youngest to reach 1,000 games coached. His coaching tenure spans multiple teams, including the Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Toronto Maple Leafs, where his experience and insight helped shape successful teams.
